The Webkinz Spotted Turtle will be arriving in stores in February. This little guy comes with a spotted rug and a Peanut Butter and Jellyfish sandwich. That sandwich reminds me of something I would see in a Spongebob episode. My son is sure to love this Turtle as much as the original Webkinz Turtle.

Ganz will be launching Webkinz Jr. in Spring 2009

With surprising news today Ganz has announced that they are creating Webkinz Jr. A new virtual world geared for younger children. This has been something that I have been wondering how Ganz would try to hold the attention of its user base as it ages. My guess is that Webkinz Jr. will be there to draw kids in and Webkinz World with slowly mature for kids moving closer to their tweens. The announcement states that the release will be in late Spring 2009, but several retailers have already commented that the plushy toys will begin shipping in the last week of February.

New Bamboo Break game in Webkinz World

A new game was released in the Webkinz Arcade and Tournament Arena today. It’s Bamboo Break a Tetris type game. If you have ever played Tetris you will do well at this game. The over all speed of the game seems pretty slow right now from my first view.

Webkinz has updated the Trading Room

The Webkinz team has been busy updating the Trading Room. The new room has been modified to provide more safety for users trading high value items. The new system will warn customers trading high value items for low value items. It will present an additional warning screen, but will still allow the trade to complete if the user ok’s the trade. This should help to cut down on the scams that some rude users have been using.
