If your into Webkinz or your kids are then you know what Webkinz charms are. Although they have become very hard to find lately, this may be due to rumors about the charms may contain lead in the paint. There has been no official confirmation of this and Ganz has stated that their internal tests passed the lead test. The charm collection is a set of 24 Webkinz charms based on items and pets from Webkinz World. You can use them with a charm bracelet or necklace also available from Webkinz.

There are several reasons that people collect the charms. The first and obivious reason is that little girls love charms and there are great item to collect. The second reason would be the online side that is linked into Webkinz World. When you purchase a Webkinz Charm you also get a secret code that you can register to your pets account. You will recieve the same charm online and a special prize. When getting your first charm you also unlock access to the Webkinz Charm Forest. The charm forest is a special area in Webkinz World that allows you to go hunting for Pixie Pods that contain other charms and prizes. You are allowed to go searching in the charm forest once every 6 hours.

When you enter the charm forest there are 4 different paths that you can take. When looking for the Pixie Pods you search through the Charm Forest much like you do in the Gem Hunt. Once finding a pod you click on it and it will reveal what you have found. So far I have found several empty pods and also found fairy shirts, charm candy, Kinzcash and keys. The keys will unlock hidden doors in the charm forest that contain more pixie pods. There are a total of 40 virtual charms in the forest, but to find all of the virtual charms you must register atleast 8 real charms.

The Charm Forest also works like the Trading Card by unlocking more features with the more charms that you purchase. By doing this they are rewarding users that collect more charms with special items. After registering your 8th charm you will also receive Kinzcash when registering the charm. You will receive from 100-300 Kinzcash with the amount increasing with each charm that you register.
